Your role

A career in the Software Development practice, within Tax Technology services, will provide you with the opportunity to work directly with senior Information Technology professionals within PwC, as well as with the clients, to provide specialized assistance to troubleshoot and resolve issues surrounding the technical application aspects of its tax technology solutions.

The team helps the clients solve complex business problems by interpreting requirements, programming unit testing of applications, and supporting the System Development Life Cycle for applicable technical domains used for their business applications.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping the clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participate in designing a quality assurance plan covering business and functional requirements
• Provide estimation of testing efforts and able to execute within an agreed timeline
• Participate in the conceptual design of the test environment
• Able to spot system usability and practical issues, pay attention to user experience (UX) and suggest ideas for seamless client experience (CX)
• Execute test scripts based on test cases, and record system defects with a clear and concise description
• Conduct post-implementation testing
• Support developers in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Coordinate with business analysts
• Report projecting stakeholders regarding QC status and system readiness to roll out.

The estimated base pay may range from MYR 34000 to MYR 42000 per year. The estimated additional pay is MYR 5,000 per year. It also offers the following benefits :

About you

• Recognized University Degree in Software Engineering/ Information Technology or related discipline
• Fundamental understanding of project management
• A team player and proactive problem-solver
• Results oriented with an “on time and bet” attitude
• Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English Language with confidence
• Experience in developing automated testing is an added advantage
